Welcome to Wentz Orthodontics, where you are greeted and treated like family. Our team is guided by the dynamic leadership of Dr. Ed Wentz. He has been creating smiles in an atmosphere that is easy for parents and fun for kids for over 38 years. We want our patients to live life smiling!
For some people, life is compartmentalized into neat, little boxes; one for work, one for faith, one for family, and so on. For us, work is a natural extension of our families’ lives, our faith in God and a pretty good measure of fun. We approach everything we do with one goal in mind - to make a positive difference in people's lives and to honor God in the process. We have been blessed with a great team that shares our single-minded goal, and we couldn’t be more thankful!
The overall dental health of each patient is our primary concern. We enjoy a comprehensive approach to care by working closely with each patient's family dentist as well as other specialists when treatment calls for interdisciplinary care. We will work together to remove the barriers that are preventing you from having the smile you deserve. You will be presented with different treatment options specifically tailored to your needs and sensitivities. You are in control of your options and we will help guide you to make the choice that is best for you.
Dr. Ed Wentz
I am thankful for having the opportunity to grow up in a family where I was able to watch my dad enjoy the profession of orthodontics. His passion for orthodontics was contagious, and the transformation orthodontics had on my friends was amazing. It was so rewarding that my brother, sister, and I all chose to follow in his footsteps. For us, our work is truly a family tradition.
Dr. Brandon Tivis
Wentz Orthodontics is blessed to have Dr. Brandon Tivis. He is one of our homegrown smiles. Dr. Tivis was a patient of Dr. Wentz. Dr. Tivis was born and raised in Lubbock. He is a graduate of Trinity Christian High School and attended Texas A&M. He completed his orthodontic education at St. Louis University’s Orthodontic School. Dr. Tivis also completed a cleft lip and palate fellowship. Dr. Tivis is married to Allyssa and they have a precious baby girl, Emerson. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and cooking.
Dr. Stephen Sperry
Dr. Stephen Sperry graduated from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. He was Valedictorian of his orthodontic residency program at St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Sperry worked as a family dentist with his father prior to completing his orthodontic training. He comes with numerous awards and several years of dental and orthodontic teaching experience. Giving back to others is an important part of Dr. Sperry’s life. In 2006 Dr. Sperry married his high school sweetheart, Anna. They have two precious boys, Eli and Henry. They enjoy cycling, participating in worship at church, leading small group studies and according to Dr. Sperry, he “really enjoys Anna’s awesome cooking”.
Dr. Oman
Born and raised in the scenic foothills of the Himalayas in Arunachal Pradesh, India, I bring a unique blend of passionate enthusiasm and professional expertise to my work. My journey in dentistry began in India, where I completed my dental school education. Driven by a passion for orthodontics, I moved to the United States to pursue advanced training, completing my residency and fellowship in Orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles.
After my time in California, I worked in Austin, Texas, where I honed my skills and developed a deep commitment to patient care. However, the warm and welcoming community of Lubbock inspired my recent move, and I’m excited to contribute to this vibrant city.
Outside of work, I enjoy a well-rounded life filled with local and international travel, culinary adventures in the kitchen, hiking in nature, and quality time with my husband, family, and friends. Whether I’m exploring new cultures or savoring the beauty of everyday moments, I value experiences that enrich both my personal and professional life.
I’m thrilled to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to serve the people of Lubbock and be part of this wonderful community.
